My take on a great old Twilight Zone episode

After a night of panic and a tossed up bed
The alarm clock starts
a fruitless commute to the office
I throw down a coffee to start me up.

And when I get to my cubicle
of course a little late, my boss is there
to present his theory of push and drive.
Push and drive will save the day.

Sometimes I think I will lose my mind

Coming home on the evening train
The snow is falling down and I drift to sleep
When the train slows down I'm jarred awake
The PA says we're in Willoughby

The sweet smell of warm summer air flows in
A band is playing

The doppler bells and the station stop
invade my brief relief and they bring me back
to the tragic facts of our modern lives
when all that remains is to push and drive.

Arriving home at my domicile I drag myself inside
Then the tie comes off.
The decanter calls from across the room.
destroys my insides but it numbs the pain.

Sometimes I think I will lose my mind
Just Kill Me Now Please

When I try to reason with an angry spouse
and her diamond ring<She's grown accustomed
to the lifestyle.
Anything less is a fait acomplit.

Another soul sucking day and now
I'm on the evening train
When the sandman strikes
And relieves my shriveled confidence.
I'll live my life in Willoughby
